Apple Junction
In 2011, John Boy Farms purchased Apple Juction in
Landmark from Tony Unger of Mums Country Bakery. Tony had taken over the apple cider
business many years ago and had dedicated himself to producing delicious juice here in
Manitoba. He had developed a big following while selling cider at the St. Norbert Farmers
market and to the many customers that would visit him and his family at their bakery attached to the
apple pressing facility.
Since taking over the apple press from Tony, we have continued to
provide his loyal customers with the same great tasting sweet apple cider that people have come to
expect. We are still using local Manitoba apples and offer custom pressing of customer
apples in fall. We are committed to offering this service as it has become a tradition for many of
our customers and their families.
There are a few new things happening at Apple Junction. Our sweet apple cider is
now available in some local Winnipeg stores such as Tall Grass Prairie Bakery and Vita Health.
As well, we now offer a fundraising program where schools, churches, sports teams and community
organizations can sell fresh apple cider in order to raise money for their projects or events.
See our Manitoba Apple Cider page for more
information.
Location: Our apple press is located on Highway 210, 2 miles east of Landmark. Our building is
attached to Mum's Country Bakery.
